Atta Kim








Columbia's Lecture serries kicked off the year today with the visiting artis Atta Kim. These large scale images are made with long time exposures, up to eight hours. Kim seeks to explore fundamental questions of time and perception.

ArtXposium

This weekend there is a reason to get out of the city, it's called ArtXposium. This show located at 103 W. Washington St. in West Chicago will be a 3-day multimedia art experience created by more than 50 artists (many previous Columbia students). Dawoud Bey

I have been thinking alot about my influences lately. My work may not be very smilar to Dawoud's, but he has helped me to see the world and my own work differently. Dawoud had a lecture tonight about the work in his new book Class Pictures.

Pieter Ombregt

As im sure many of you have heard by now, Chicago Photographer Pieter Ombregt has passed away after a bad accident in a bycicle race. I didnt really know him but i admired his work and see many connections to what i am doing in mine.
